July 8, 2011 - ESP photos & UK Turf Field Day

Work resumed on Tuesday after Independence Day only to be washed out all day today (Friday). Here a few shots I took this week:

On a side note:

I traveled to Lexington to attend the UK Turfgrass Research Field Day at newly dedicated, A.j. Powell Jr. Turfgrass Research Center.

This is Dr. Powell speaking after unveiling the new sign in his honor at the research center. Dr. Powell retired last year after 35 years at UK. He has most likely had an influence on every athletic field in the state and beyond. He was one of the first people I reached out to when I came to Elizabethtown last year. Thank you Dr. Powell for your service to the Turf industry!

Well so much for that cool, low humidity weather. Its slowly creeping it way back up to normal July weather for this region! That makes for great construction weather right?!
