Synthetic Fields and Warning Tracks...

Here are some photos from last week's construction progress. They started the base for the synthetic fields and started installing the crushed brick to the warning tracks in baseball. Crews also continued to work on landscaping, roofing, steel erection, concrete flatwork, masonry, curbing, and paving. There were probably some other things that I forgot to mention. Lets keep this momentum going!

Synthetic field installation progress
Flat drainage pipe is laid on top of geotextile fabric and then covered with 6 inches of gravel

Crushed brick warning track installation
The crushed brick is placed over a fine crushed limestone base. When compacted the two materials will "lock" together and surface water will drain over the top.

OKtober

Well September was an unusually wet month, we had close to 5 inches of rain for the month. On the flip side, the first week in October has been perfect construction weather. Sunny and highs in the low 80's, perfect! Crews have been working extra hard to take advantage of the weather and get caught up a bit. Some of the major jobs this week have been fine grading and seeding some lawn areas, wetlands landscaping, curbing and pavement prep in baseball parking lot, more concrete slabs, roofing, and steel erection. Also, work began this week on our synthetic turf fields. Enjoy the photos and get out there and enjoy the weather!
