Rainy Days

Okay so in the past 7 days we've had almost 9 inches of rain, over 3.5" of it in the last 24 hours. Needless to say not a lot of work has been done lately. Here are some pics of the flooding from Billy Creek that we are dealing with at the Sports Park!

View from bridge on St Johns Road

Flooded field across the road from park

Look across soccer field towards creek, St Johns Rd on left

New water feature

Billy Creek washed out bank and spilling into retention pond. White water rafting anyone?

Overlooking detention areas overflowing with creek. I'm standing on wind-rowed topsoil that is acting as berm holding back water. This would be soccer field #4 and/or #5.

Without this berm, rest of field would be underwater...

Looking South over fields 4,5, & 6

South end of Field 6, retention area

retention area, its probably almost 10ft deep in the deepest spot here?

Lower end of Soccer fields, mostly underwater

The locals really love their basketball...

Other side of lower fields looking back towards creek

Creek that runs through middle of park, usually just a trickle...

End of King Arthur's Ct., baseball parking retaining wall behind. This is the stream that's usually a trickle.

Wetlands pond next to main entrance on West Park Rd. Creek flooding overtook berm.

Flooding at Mike Carroll Soccer Complex on Peterson Dr.

When I mentioned at the beginning of the post that not much work has been done lately, some crews have been able to work in baseball between rains and get some things accomplished. Some foundations, electrical, and plumbing for example.
